Getting started
What is Brandguide IO?
A shared home for your brand guidelines and assets. Organise strategy, logos, typography, colours, templates, illustrations, motion, iconography and real-world applications in one portal.
What is a digital brand portal?
A digital brand portal is an online place where a team can find approved logos, colour palettes, typography, brand guidelines and creative assets. It helps employees and partners use the same brand materials consistently. Brandguide IO brings these resources together in a shared workspace. Learn more in Brand guidelines.
How is a brand portal different from a shared folder?
A shared folder primarily stores files. A brand portal pairs those files with usage guidance, organised sections and access controls so people can find the right assets and understand how to use them. Explore finding and downloading approved assets.
How do I create my workspace?
Start your free trial today, no credit card required. Choose a plan, create your account and verify your email to start your 14-day trial. Log in to open your first brand workspace.
Can I see the product before choosing a plan?
Yes. Use Request a demo in the header to contact us and arrange a walkthrough.
Where can I learn how to use the portal?
Visit Resources for setup and day-to-day help. Contact us if you cannot find what you need.
Assets and guidelines
What should brand guidelines include?
Useful brand guidelines explain approved logos and variations, brand colours, typefaces, imagery and templates, with examples of correct usage. Keep them accessible and update them when your brand changes. See logos and colours and fonts and media.
What can I put in a brand guide?
Add guidance and files to dedicated chapters, including logo variations, typefaces, colour palettes, templates, illustrations, icons, motion and applications. Introduction images help people recognise each section.
How do I add and find files?
Open a chapter and use its Add files button. Files by category keeps related items together. Open the Asset library to search and filter across your brand’s files.
What file sizes and formats are supported?
Each upload can be up to 25 MB. Supported formats include JPG, PNG, WebP, SVG, GIF, PDF, ZIP, font files, JSON, TXT, CSS, MP4 and WebM. Your plan’s total storage limit also applies.
Can I use several logo variations and colour palettes?
Yes. Organise logo variations and backgrounds, primary, secondary and tertiary palettes, colour combinations and typography colour usage within their chapters.
Can I give my brand and chapters cover images?
Yes. Use the plus control on a workspace brand card or a portal overview card to add its feature image.
Teams and sharing
Is my portal visible to everyone?
Keep a portal private and grant access to the people who need it. You can also choose to make a portal public using its sharing controls. Review what you publish before sharing the link.
Can I invite designers or clients?
Use Team access to invite people and assign the roles available on your plan. Starter includes owner and viewer access; Studio adds editors and approvals; Agency adds brand manager access.
Can editors publish anything immediately?
Approval workflows on the eligible plans help separate contributions from approved content. Give each teammate the access they need, and review contributions before making them available more widely.
Plans and billing
How much do the plans cost?
Starter is $8 per month or $80 per year. Studio is $30 per month or $300 per year. Agency is $99 per month or $990 per year. Annual billing includes two months free. The annual amount is charged as one payment. See Plans & pricing to compare.
What does each plan include?
Starter: 1 brand workspace, 3 team members and 2 GB storage. Studio: 3 brand workspaces, 10 team members and 20 GB storage. Agency: 15 brand workspaces, 30 team members and 100 GB storage. Compare access and collaboration features on the pricing page.
How do monthly and annual billing work?
Monthly subscriptions renew monthly; annual subscriptions renew annually. Annual pricing includes two months free compared with twelve monthly payments. Your checkout shows the amount and billing period before you approve it.
When am I charged?
Create and verify your account without payment to start a 14-day trial. Choose a paid plan in Billing & Payments when you are ready. After trial expiry, editing and uploads pause until payment is confirmed; you can still log in, download existing files and open billing.
How can I change plans?
Open Plans and billing in your workspace. Your current plan is marked, and the other plan buttons let you request a plan change with our team. A request alone does not change your subscription.
How do I cancel, and what happens to my files?
Use Cancel subscription in your workspace to stop future renewals. Your files remain saved and paid access continues through the paid-through date. Deleting your account and data is a separate action. A free trial ends without an automatic charge.
Can I request a refund?
Read our return policy and contact us with your billing details. Refund eligibility is assessed under that policy; submitting a request does not automatically issue a refund.
Account security and support
Can I protect my account with an authenticator?
Yes. Open Security in your workspace to set up two-factor authentication. Store recovery codes somewhere private. After your password, login asks for an authenticator code; you can choose a separate recovery-code form if needed.
What if I forget my password or lose my authenticator?
Use Forgot password on the login page to reset your password. Use a saved recovery code if your authenticator is unavailable. Contact support if you cannot recover access; do not send passwords or recovery codes in a message.
Where can I suggest a new feature?
Open the Feature Board, sign in and submit your idea. Your submitted requests are private to your account on the board. Requests do not guarantee a delivery date.
How do I get help with a problem?
Use the workspace Help menu, browse Resources, or contact us. Include what you were trying to do and the error message, but leave out passwords and secret keys.
